Exploring the World of Desserts: From Cheesecakes to Macaroons

When it comes to indulging in cheesecakes and other delectable desserts, the choices are endless.

My Love for Cheesecake

One of my most cherished desserts is the New York cheesecake. This classic dessert is made with a satisfying biscuit base and a creamy, tangy filling. Making it isn't just a simple process; it requires careful preparation and attention to detail. Here's how I make it:

Ingredients:

Biscuit base: 140g digestive biscuits 100g unsalted butter 400g cream cheese 68g soft white sugar 68g unsalted butter Appropriate amount of lemon juice Appropriate amount of lemon peel 40g whipping cream 1 egg

Method:

Crush the digestive biscuits with a sealed bag and mix them with melted butter until evenly distributed. Pour the mixture into a mold and flatten it. Place it in the fridge until solid. Melt the cream cheese at room temperature and stir it with the soft white sugar, whipping cream, unsalted butter, egg, lemon juice, and lemon peel. Mix everything together thoroughly. Pour the mixture into the prepared mold and bake it in a water bath at 180 degrees Celsius for about 35 minutes. Let the cake cool and then refrigerate it overnight or for several hours to set. Whip an appropriate amount of whipping cream and use it to decorate the top of the cheesecake. Top it off with fruit or other improvisations.

My Favorite Sweetness - Kajukatli

Name a favorite sweet and I might choose the Kajukatli. This Indian treat is a delightful mix of roasted cashews, peanuts, almonds, and pistachios all coated in a rich, sugary coating. It's a perfect blend of crunchy textures and sweet flavors that make it irresistible.

Fruit-inclusive Cheesecakes

Whether it's the tangy lemon cheesecake or the sweet and tangy blueberry cheesecake, I simply cannot resist these fruit-infused versions. Adding fruit to a cheesecake not only enhances its flavor but also adds visual appeal.

Classic Indian Desserts

As an Indian, I have a special affection for the myriad of sweets available in my country. From the fluffy jalebi to the hearty gulab jamun, there's something for everyone. Here are a few more favorites:

While India is known for its sweets, the world is not short of fascinating desserts. One of my current favorites is the macarons. These small, delightful pastries come in various flavors and are a feast for the eyes. Their delicate texture and beautiful colors make them a must-try for any dessert enthusiast.
