For those who love cricket, especially during the Indian Premier League (IPL), the choice of which team to support often comes down to the charisma of the players and the overall performance. This year, 2018, I will continue to stand by my preferred team without changing sides based on performance.
Why I Support Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians will always have a special place in my heart. It goes beyond the current team's performance; it's about the enduring legacy built by players like Rohit Sharma, Bumrah, Mark-Anthony Markande, and Krunal Pandya. Not to forget, the impeccable guidance of their mentor, Sachin Tendulkar, who continues to inspire the team. Hardik Pandya is undoubtedly my favorite player, adding the final touch of brilliance to the team.
RCB and CSK - My Primary Teams
While I primarily choose to root for Mumbai Indians, I can't help but mention my support for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in this IPL season. Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Quinton de Kock, and Brendon McCullum are among the best batsmen in the world, contributing immensely to RCB's success. Also, the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal and Umesh Yadav have shown remarkable performances as bowlers. Virat Kohli is an absolute fan favorite!
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) also hold a special place in my heart for different reasons. CSK, with its strong bowling lineup, is a favorite due to their strategic prowess. SRH, on the other hand, is effective with both their batting and bowling combinations, led by Kane Williamson as the thinking captain. My support for CSK and SRH is purely based on their team chemistry and strategy.
