1 cup besan gram flour 1/2 cup water (adjust for consistency) 1 small onion, finely chopped 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust to taste) 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes (optional) 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (coriander leaves) 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (optional) 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (optional) Salt to taste Oil for cookingInstructions:
Prepare the Batter: Combine the besan, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt in a mixing bowl. Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring to avoid lumps. The batter should be smooth and of pouring consistency. Add Vegetables: Mix in the chopped onions, green chilies, tomatoes, and cilantro into the batter. Cook the Chilla: Heat a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, pour a ladleful of the batter onto the skillet and spread it into a round shape. Drizzle a little oil around the edges and on top. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
